Cafe France - Shell Mamplasan sits conveniently along the South Luzon Expressway corridor, making it a practical stopover for those traveling between Laguna and Metro Manila. This cafe blends the casual vibe of a roadside coffee shop with a menu that veers beyond the usual café fare, offering hearty breakfasts and pasta dishes alongside its well-regarded, affordable coffee.

The interior strikes a balance between approachable and functional, shedding any overly upscale touches in favor of a space that feels welcoming for a broad range of visitors—from families on road trips to solo commuters needing a pause. The atmosphere is unhurried, making it a good spot to recharge before continuing a journey.

Breakfast here is a solid choice for those who want something more substantial than just coffee and pastries. Options like the Frankfurter & Egg Breakfast Tray and Corned Beef Slab deliver familiarity and comfort, geared toward early risers needing a steady start. Pasta lovers will appreciate dishes like Beef Wellington, Aglio Olio with Tuyo, and Seafood Marinara; while not every dish hits the mark perfectly, the pasta generally fares better than soup or some of the heavier entrees.

The café also offers a selection of freshly baked breads and pastries, which are popular with both regulars and travelers looking for a quick snack. Coffee is notable for its good quality at a budget-friendly price point, making it easy to pair with whatever meal or treat you pick.

Morning visits tend to be best, capitalizing on the breakfast menu and the calm before peak travel traffic builds. Locals and travelers alike use this spot as a functional stop to refuel rather than linger for long stretches, so expect a straightforward, no-frills experience with reliable, familiar flavors and a relaxed pace.

It’s a good place to dine in during travels from south to the metro. Not all dishes are good you just have to choose carefully. I think their soup is not the specialty Pastas are great and the healthy bowls. Love the pastries here.

Their aglio olio tuyo pasta is good. Beef wellington is affordable but also tastes good. Hickory pork slab is just a grilled liempo. Beef stroganoff is dry.

They have cheap, good coffee and a variety of delicious, freshly baked pastries.

Great breakfast place when traveling north along the South Luzon Expressway. Their selection of breakfast meals will provide that energy boost in the morning. Paired with any of their coffees, it will surely prepare anyone for a hectic day ahead. They also have a wide selection of delicious pastries perfect for snacks anytime of the day.

#ICF! My all time fave in any CF is chicken pesto pasta but the salmon pasta seems to be replacing it. I love their breads. CF has changed it's interiors from high end to a more practical and public-relateable theme. Becomes more appealing to all society classes.

4.2 / 5 overall rating for this branch. Eggs Benedict- 4.5/5 hollandaise sause is on point, bread is just too thick, tho. Tuyo Aglio olio - 4.7/5 the pasta and flavors is so good, the only downside is the garlic bread it comes with was soaked in so much oil, not crispy anymore, soo saggy. Brewed coffee -5/5 coffee is coffee
